Ian's Counselling Services
Ian works with all the issues that we face with the hectic lives that we lead today including relationship problems, work problems, confidence, self–esteem, abuse, communication and is a specialist in human dynamics.
Ian has a Post Graduate Diploma; he is experienced and certified to work with couples, families, children and young people and individuals. Ian is the licensed Relate counsellor for Wakefield, details which can be found at Relate. He is also a Registered Member of the BACP and also approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. He also has a Cert Ed qualification and is fully qualified to teach post 16 learners.

CBT depression work
Ian is accredited by and uses the IAPT Individual depression model as implemented by the Tavistock Centre. This model has been proven to help when people are experiencing depression to help them both to cope with both the depression and how it interacts within their world, the depressed person not being the problem and finding the solution. As this is a CBT structured program it does entail a number of sessions to fulfill the process, details of which can be discussed with Ian.
